Argentina : Las Lenas
 
 
The first impression of skiing in Las Leñas is that the scenery is not so different from that of the Alps, except that the rocks are often an orangey colour, similar to the colours you find in the Italian Dolomites. In addition to the marked terrain, Las Leñas offers really good off-piste skiing. The skiing is remote and uncompromising above the tree-line. The gigantic area at Valle de Las Leñas is aptly described in one simple statement - on a clear day, you can ski forever. The night life in Las Lenas centres largely around the hotels, so can be described as limited.
 
 

Shops - lots of clothing and equipment shops, curios, mini-markets for food and essentials. The banks and ATM machines make life easy.

Night life - try the apres ski bars, pubs and more. For the youngsters there are the many disco's and clubs.

Adventure sports - there is walking, paragliding, indoor pools and X country skiing.

Restaurants abound, with all sorts of diners in town, as well as many mountain restaurants for skiers to enjoy.

If you are bored with skiing we will arrange excursions for you to places like Munich, Salzburg, Innsbruck etc !
  
   

From Buenos Aires, there is a direct flight departing from Jorge Newbery Airport and arriving to Malargue Airport.  The flight takes approximately 1 hour.  There is a 1 hour 30 minute bus journey from the airport to Las Leñas.

The ski school and all the hotels have great programs for kids to make a family vacation an enjoyable one
Daycare and fun located at the base of the hill next to the ski school and patrol hut.  For 2
months to 1 year old children where  certified caregivers take care of your specail mini people while you ski.  Do different activites and games as well as get an introdcution to walking
in the snow and play in the special sectioned off kids ski area at the base of the mountain. 
This service is free during the parents' ski or snowboard lessons.

For 3.5 year olds to 6 year olds.  Fun is the name of the game here as well as an introduction
to skiing for the younger ones or sharpening of skills to the more experienced tot.  The kids learn
in a great learning environment in the sectioned off kids area at the base of the hill.  The poma
lifts are great for these kids as well a gradual build up to riding the chair for the first time.  Certified instructors great with kids lead your child on the way to new learning.

This is a great program for the beginner or aspiring racer or mini-extreme skier. 6 days with the same group and same instructor with 5 hours daily of insturction as well as lunch.  Thursday is
race  day for everyone and a fun event.

 
    
   
"Hosted packages" - here we provide full entertainment programmes and services of our resort reps. This is aimed at those wanting to sit back and relax whilst we organize things like transfers, ski guiding to places like Zermatt and Valtournenche, Apres ski evenings, fun events and more. For the December period we run our "Polar Kidz Club" program. We take care of the kids while you relax.

"Champagne Lite Packages" caters for the more independent traveller. We will arrange just the essentials like accommodation, transfers, skis and pass (and get you a discount into the bargain !)
